MEET TYLER

Tyler Yzaguirre is a political consultant, commentator featured in the Washington Examiner, and seen on Sky News, BlazeTV, NBC News, CBS Weekend News, News2Share, NRA TV, and Fox News.

 

Tyler is the President of the Second Amendment Institute, a national 501c3 non-profit organization that combats attacks on all American’s Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, and aid in the prevention of unconstitutional gun control measures. Tyler also currently serves as the National Field Director of Students for Self-Defense, a national student college organization that combats arbitrary and harmful self-defense policies on college campuses. Since Tyler's appointment to this position in 2017, more than 3,000 college students have joined the ranks on their respective campus.  

 

Since 2017, Tyler has written and published numerous Second Amendment related articles to the Washington Examiner. Topics include general gun rights, logistical approaches to combatting gun control, and how to effectively fight for gun rights. 

 

Before his move to Washington DC, Tyler served as a statewide liaison to the Delaware GOP Headquarters during the 2015 and 2016 elections. Tyler consulted for numerous campaigns ranging from City Council to Congress. Upon his departure from the Delaware GOP Headquarters, Tyler was awarded Republican of the Month, for recognition of his service.  To this day, Tyler continues to consult for federal campaigns and non-profit organizations. 

 

Tyler grew up in Delaware, where he attended the University of Delaware and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in History and Spanish in 2015. While at the University of Delaware, Tyler founded and presided over Students for the Second Amendment. A registered student organization which made national headlines within the year of its foundation thanks to a controversial ammunition purchase, provided by the school. 

 

Tyler currently resides in Washington DC.
